Alyssa and Ester have a friend who lives in a beautiful part of Abilene right by the lake. When we drove up the long driveway that weaved up to the house I was so giddy as I was surrounded by OPTIONS. We had no plans to shoot Alyssa’s bridals inside but the lady who graciously let us use her house, come to find out, is an interior designer. Ester insisted I see how talented her friend is so as they were showing me around the house it took my breath away! We quickly made change of plans and moved Alyssa’s bridal shoot inside! You will see why!! A chandelier over the bed?!? Wow. Seriously. Alyssa your are stunning, my dear !

I met up with Haley, her mom and sister at the Waco Arboretum for a fun day of shooting bridals!! Stay tuned for her wedding!

When I booked Amber’s senior session, I did not realize how awesome of an athlete she is! The day before our session I was browsing through the Abilene paper and was surprised to see Amber on the front page! Amber has won numerous titles as a hurdler for Gordon High School. In the fall she will be running track for Texas State so be sure to follow her!!

Brittney is one of my dear friends. We met at Tarleton State University when she was a freshman (which makes me feel SOO old)! Time flies and I can’t believe she’s already graduating from TSU!! Thanks for asking me to shoot your SR pics Love u!

Here is one of my favorite little girls. She’s grown up so much since you have seen her on my blog. She’s no longer camera shy but now knows what it means to have her picture taken We love our little Malia. I know after seeing these pictures, you will too! Her shoes are kickin’ — VANS for little kids are so adorable!

I always feel honored when people make a trip to have my photograph them! Kathy flew to Texas to visit our family and asked me to take Felicity’s 2 yr pics. I was so excited! 1. I had only talked with Kathy over Facebook and was super excited to meet her and her daughter. 2. I love photographing children for Daddies overseas!! Kathy’s husband, Shawn, is in the military so it was very important for me to capture his baby girl — full of life, energy, and giggles! Most of the photo shoot was spent running… not jogging — R-U-N-N-I-N-G [from me ]. This is real life photography; I had no time for posing!! Felicity wore both me and her out .

There are some people I feel honored to photograph and Bailey is one of those girls! Once she graduates from Stephenville High School, Bailey’s packing her bags and moving to college in Corsicana to play volleyball . Bailey and her mom Mickey drove to Abilene for her senior session so I spent lots of time driving around to find some fun/vintage locations. I love how much creativity Mickey brought to this shoot, moreover how great of an assistant she was to me .
We pulled over to a fun building and Bailey and I located a shopping cart in a junk yard behind a chain-link fence. Although there was no apparent way to get to the shopping cart, I told Bailey how fun it would be to use it, so she took action and I won’t tell how she got it out!! We tried to convince Mickey to look for some other props in the junkyard, but she proceeded to tell us she had never broken the law so she wasn’t up for it! Ha ha… it was priceless . Mickey brought along a chandelier, so that was our next mission – finding somewhere to hang it. While driving from place to place an old blue car caught Bailey’s eye. I made a U-Turn and it was like finding gold! Bailey dug around through some rummage and found a couple of suitcases and a picture frame. They made for perfect props!
Bailey, you are a very special girl Don’t forget the calling God has placed on your life. He has a very unique plan for your life and at the perfect time He will reveal the steps to get there. There’s nothing that satisfies more than loving God and being loved by Him! Thanks so much for trusting me to capture this fun time in your life! And Mickey, I sure do miss spending time with you! You are a joy to be around and are so great at loving people! You have raised a beautiful daughter . Your prayers are not going unheard.

I am all about candid shots. I love them! Lakrecia was so much fun to photograph, not to mention naturally beautiful! She loves laughing, as most of these pictures show. Lakrecia and I chatted it up all the way to Dallas and back. We had such a great time getting to know each other. The day before her senior session, Lakrecia called me raving about the flowers at the Dallas Arboretum and insisted we take her senior pictures there! It was absolutely breathtaking! I have never seen so many beautiful tulips nor so many people crammed in such a small circumference! After the Arboretum we drove to Richland College for part 2 of the session. Lakrecia is graduating in May and will make an awesome 9th grade english teacher!!

Lakrecia, God has such a special plan for your life. Keep loving BIG and LOUD! You are so beautiful!

I thought Brandon was a quiet reserved guy, but the more time I spent with him, the more I realized how he’s totally opposite! Brandon is graduating in May and is excited about attending Sam Houston State University to major in Finance. He’s super studious but knows how to have fun. Brandon is an awesome fisherman and hunter so my goal was to find some locations that would show his love for the outdoors! Gma and I drove all around Troy looking for the perfect locations and made lots of friends along the way . I edited a few of my favorites… hope you like them Brandon!
